RnB: Hi guys, fist of all we would like to thank you for wasting some time with us. We would like to start talking about the band.to know more about the band. How did you met? Did you started as a friends band?

Steef:  Yes, it all started in the beginning of our high school jamming with my good buddies Jules and Sven. after a couple of years we have changed our line up , I found Willem and Randy on a music school in Eindhoven where we all studied.

RnB: Could you briefly describe the music-making process of the band? Do you all collaborate in the writing process?

I wrote most off the songs, Most of the time we start with a good riff and then and a song structure and then we will jam with it and talk about our ideas.

RnB:  what was the hardest thing you have had to overcome with the band?

For me the passing of my original band members Jules and Sven. It’s hard when you’ve got experience for 10 years with each other. But we’re still good friends and i see them sometimes when we’re playing nearby.

RnB:  And what’s next? New album? Summer festivals?

We’re writing for our 3rd album, we hope we can release our new record in the end of this year.

RnB: Now about your music and tour. We know that you do not like to be compared, but we can not avoid finding ACDC, Motorhead or even Alice Cooper sounds in your compositions. How do you define your music style?

We really like the no bullshit rock n roll thing like bands like AC/DC, Motorhead and Guns N Roses. We like to have it raw, loud and full of energy with some melody in the songs.

RnB: Your first album was very good especially considering it was your debut. But the qualitative leap is tremendous in «Blessing In Disguise.» Is this due to the experience acquired or does it have a lot to do with the arrival of Peter van Elderen to production?

No I think it was because we have played a lot since the release of our debut ‘Back to Mayhem’ , also played with some big names as Deep Purple, Megadeth , Slash to name a few. I think we learned a lot of it. Because you like to get better and better as a band. The songs were already done when Peter arrived. He mixed only our record.

RnB: Have you found with Peter the power you were looking for for your records?

Yes for sure. He knew the band already for a couple of years. On ‘Blessing in Disguise’ we really liked to have a more raw sound then our debut. So I think it worked out pretty well.

RnB: What is the Asherea song about?

The song is about a confused man that got a lot of strange tings in his head. (listen to the lyrics with this in your head) Ashereah is a god for the sea.

RnB: What can we expect in your shows?

Black Bone is a band that likes to have a good time with the people and go crazy with a lot of energy.

RnB: Is this your first time in spain?

No this is gonna be our 3rd time we will come to Spain, we really love to play in Spain , good country for rock n roll!

RnB: What would you say to Spanish fans to encourage them to see you live?

Take on your dancing shoes and go crazy with your friends and us!

RnB: What can you tell us about Rock music in your country?

You’ve got a lot cool bands in Holland, also the oldies off course like Golden Earring and Herman Brood(Saturday Night).

RnB: Which bands in your country would you recommend today?

Black Bone 😉

RnB:  Leave the best for last… We are almost finishing, so now it´s time for our most personal questions. We always ask these questions. What was the first concert you attended to, as an audience?

Guns N Roses in 2006 with my dad. That was pure magic!

RnB: What was the first record you bought?

Guns N Roses – Appetite for Destruction

RnB: Did someone close coax you into loving rock and roll.

Yes my dad , my hero.

RnB: That´s all. Thank you, very, much and good luck. See you in next shows!
